My wife Betsy and I took the paragliding tour along with two of our friends from the U.S. It was the first time for all four of us. What an exciting experience! We were picked up at our Air B&B and taken about an hour and a half outside Barcelona to a small village called Berga. Our four paragliding pilots met us at a local restaurant where we had a coffee before driving up a mountain in an area called the pre-Pyrenees. After some instructions from our four pilots, we each went off the edge of the mountain two by two in tandem harnesses. Within minutes we were flying above the mountain with a gorgeous view of the snow-capped Pyrenees mountains. Although a bit nervous, we soon discovered how absolutely safe paragliding really is. We plan to come back next year to repeat our adventure.

I had been to Barcelona before. My girl-friend and I always opted for a tour service to show us around since we really don't know the city that well. All the tour services seem to mimic each other taking tourists to the usual sites. The Ramblas, Sagrada Familia, the Boqueria Market, etc. We were so glad to find Barcelona My Way tours. We were met at our hotel by a representative who suggested coffee and a conversation to find out what types of things we were interested in doing while in the city. This was part of their "custom tours" service. We told him we were in Barcelona for only four days. After telling him about some of our interests, some nightlife at a typical Barcelona night spot, some live music performed by local musicians, a wine tasting at a spot where locals go and possibly a bike ride through some of the neighborhoods we had never seen, he created a custom made tour just for us. Over the next 3 days he acted as our own personal guide and showed us some parts of Barcelona we never knew existed. Thank you for opening our eyes to the real Barcelona. What an exciting city!

Barcelona's Nude Beach is a little off the tourist radar, probably due to its location, just a bit past the best-known beaches in Barcelona. Once I experienced the freedom of being at the beach unencumbered by my bathing suit, I was hooked. The people at the beach seem to consider nudity to be the most natural thing in the world, and I never felt like anyone was watching me or checking me out. With the guide from Barcelona My Way, I rode a bike to get to the beach, which I highly recommend, especially with the guidance of a local who knows all the very best bike routes around town. Naturally, there is great food and drink available right on the beach as well. Enjoy!
